Ever-newer waters flow on those who step into the same stream – attributed to Heraclitus 4th Century, BCE

Or, as Plato interpreted Heraclitian philosophy: Everything changes and nothing remains still.

How true.

In this constantly shifting world, change is a given. I, for one, revel in that. And, I am far past merely getting my toes wet in that stream. I’m all in.

The Internet, technologies that spring from its existence, and other game changing ideas revolutionize the way we look at the world.  They are radically changing the future. This broad spectrum of technology and ideas allows us to market to those half a world away. It gives us entertainment. It makes our lives easier. It allows us to tell our stories.

We need to look beyond the glitz, glamor and wow, however, past international markets, governments, and the technology itself. This revolution gives us more than revenue streams and convenience. It gives us a stream, if you will, into others’ consciousness– their ideas and innovations around the planet. We need to ask ourselves what is right and ethical for all of us, because someday we just may have a world consensus, a global collective ethos about how we can create, innovate and prosper together. Is this the elusive One World concept, not of nations, religions or governments, but of the people? If so, what will it be?

What’s your story?
