GeoGenius.com is a new tour product for city and over-the-road bus tours on MTR Western bus lines. GeoGenius plays GPS-triggered video segments before point of interests (see other examples below) along a given route to engage and inform passengers, giving them a uniform travel experience. This video demonstrates the product as an advertising platform, and its partner and sponsorship possibilities. Tour ticket sales and partner/sponsor sales increased because of this added product placement within content. I was executive producer for all GeoGenius products including these segments, and for focus groups, GPS plotting & routing, product roll-out and social media marketing for SnowBus, an MTR partnership. I was producer on this fund-raising video created for the non-profit charity, Tourism Cares. The organization benefits society by preserving the travel experience for future generations through awarding grants to natural, cultural and historic sites worldwide; by presenting academic and service-focused scholarships to hospitality and tourism students; and by organizing volunteer efforts to restore tourism-related sites in need of care and rejuvenation.
